Our special guest on this episode was Beau Hayes, partner in Beauxjax Crafthouse and the Eastbank District in Bossier City and Simple Church Partner. Co-Hosts Evan Semanco and Scott Odom talk to Beau about how he got started with a food truck, barely making it and stories from getting started, how Beauxjax actually happened, and his struggle with alcohol and hitting rock bottom. It's a great story of God working in Beau's life and his family, becoming an entrepreneur, and now using the music venue at Hurricane Alley to help The Simple Church by hosting our Worship Night on October 30th.

Cory shares her story of growing up in the foster care system, finding the saxophone and a love for music, the role educators have played in her life, and why she is now Loving God and Loving People through a middle school band program. Christi Rhodes also shared her experience with music via choir and how a teacher believing in her changed her life.

Today on the Backstage with the Simple Church Podcast co-hosts Evan Semanco and Scott Odom did something a little bit different! Sunday, August 21st was a Do Good Day, when Simple Church shuts the doors and goes out into the community to Be the Church. August 14th Justin's message challenged everyone to "Get Off Their Donkey" and do good (check out the message below).
This time we focused on schools and projects for teachers and staff that serve schools, and we had hundreds of people go out and #dogood! Scott and Evan talk about the day, then share interviews from people in the Simple Church serving at the different locations and what they were doing that day.

Today on the Backstage with the Simple Church Podcast co-host Evan Semanco talked to our Do Good Pastor Robyn Horton about the Be Like Bobby Do Good Day on July 17th.
We celebrated the life of Bobby Stephenson by collecting shoes to donate to our friends at Amigo Fiel in Juarez, Mexico and then challenged participants to take a "mystery trip" and #dogood for someone else. Robyn shares stories of all the good that was done, how many shoes we collected, and how she knew Bobby and what we think it would have meant to him.
