Five Projects + $5 on December 5th = Doing Good

This past Sunday, December 5th, we had a Do Good Day & closed the doors to go out and be the church in the community. We had hundreds of volunteers help us accomplish 5 different projects (and a bonus 6th thanks to our Dallas Campus!) and raise thousands of dollars in supplies and toys to be given away this Christmas. We talked to some of the amazing volunteers who came out, the people who work at these organizations, and more so check it out!

Do Good Stories: Micah Harold at Red Handed Tattoo Parlor on Pandemic Relief & Helping Someone Who Robbed Him

This November we're sharing Do Good Stories with people who are doing good that we are thankful for!

This week we talked to Micah Harold, tattoo artist & owner of Red Handed Tattoo Parlor in Shreveport. We talked to Micah because his shop was voted "The Nicest Place in Louisiana" by Readers Digest after helping to collect over $10,000 worth of supplies during the pandemic. But not long after that, Michah's shop was robbed by a 19 year old who ended up hospitalized, and Micah decided not only to forgive the robber, but made an effort to get to know his family and advocate on his behalf in court. You've got to hear the whole story, and stay tuned at the end for a surprise that may or may not involve one of the hosts getting a tattoo on the podcast.

Do Good Stories: Jackie Brock & The American Tragedy Doing Good

This November we're sharing Do Good Stories with people who are doing good that we are thankful for!

This week we talked to Jackie Brock who was part of a band called the American Tragedy, a Shreveport band that was active from 2000-2012 and recorded 4 albums while touring the country. The band got back together for a one night only benefit concert to help with Hurricane Ida Relief, and Jackie shares the story of how it came to be and why they decided to #DoGood for hurricane victims.
